1)Review of Movie “Midnight's Children”

After reading the Articles, I m trying to give justice to this point.
“Midnight's Children”, is the story of an emerging nation and   one of the most much-admired novel by Salman Rushdie. It is about the rich, the poor and the mistaken. Rushdie successfully draws a parallel between the private destiny of Saleem (narrator) and the public destiny of India . Movie “Midnight's Children”, is  directed by Deepa Maheta.

The novel’s opening sentence illustrates the postcolonial in magic realism: the I narrator, Saleem, tells, “I was born in the city of Bombay…once upon a time.” The initial part of his statement reflects 19th century social realism while the latter part employs the traditional English fairy tale formula to indicate the forthcoming fantasy.

In one articles it is mention that  In a postcolonial magic realist work like Midnight’s Children, the actual social relations of postcolonial cultures are present—the different classes, ethnic groups and races parallel in the case of India. As a magic realist text, Midnight’s Children captures a space for resistance because it is recovered from its colonial realist limits. The magic realism in Midnight’s Children stresses the sustained struggle to come at peace with identity within the postcolonial scheme. Not only are the midnight’s children magical beings, but also are they the children of the times—“the last throw of everything…the true hope of freedom…” yes it is all about for search for identity of  Saleem (Narrator). Because somehow it is direct connected with Nation also .at the time of independence, very crucial condition of India, and we may also say that Nation in search of new identity.

2) “The Reluctant Fundamentalist”

“The Reluctant Fundamentalist,” filmmaker Mira Nair’s great, fascinating and composite drama based on the 2007 novel by Mohsin Hamid about the roots of extremism. On a superficial level, “fundamentalist” refers to religious identity, one unfortunately most often associated with Islamic terrorism these days. And the story  about an ambitious, Pakistani born Wall Street financial analyst who becomes disillusioned with the United States after 9/11 .

It is about the Political power, Relationship crisis, search for identity and Superiority. Changez khan protagonist of the story who suffer a lot in drama , he is a muslim fellow and geographically belongs to Pakistan . but American look at him as a terrorist . he has many crisis during living in American, by profession he is good one , here a man who suffer a lot without fault.
